The six hybrid horses including a stallion, presented to the Bangladesh Army by the Indian Army, arrive in Bangladesh through Benapole border today.

A colonel of the Bangladesh Army will receive the horses from an Indian Army colonel on Benapole border, said an ISPR press release on Tuesday.

The horses were presented to the army chief, General Moeen U Ahmed, as a token of friendship by the Indian army chief, Dipak Kapur, during Gen Moeen’s recent visit to India at the invitation of his counterpart.

When the prices of essentials is spiraling and getting beyond the reach of the poor and the middle class, we find the Army Chief in cowboy hat inaugurating a golf club for his brethren. What a joke it was to watch on TV. What is more important, opening golf clubs when the country is facing a “silent famine,” or speaking and acting to make essentials affordable for civilians like us?
