Liberation war of Bangladesh is not just a war to me. I think it’s an epic. People of my country envisaged a map of a country and the country was achieved with a heavy bloodshed. All the countrymen ruminated a soil where they can take breath freely and can uphold their heads with supreme dignity. The war of liberation is Nakshi Kantha that has been stitched with the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and reprimanded sisters.
It took nine months to conquer a national flag and the flag is a legend to distinguish the nation who triumphed over every oppression. I read a book of Humayun Azad. He said that 1971 was the year to be delighted. This was not the year of oppression rather we were freeing our mother from tyranny. We wanted a Bangladesh which will be the safest place to accelerate the prosperity of our people. The nation will provide a platform to carry out our culture and rituals. We wanted a Bangladesh where we will be Bangalees. We wanted a soil where secularism will tie up every citizen to live peacefully. Every epic has some heroes. We are very proud of the freedom fighters who are the actual heroes of the epic. And the superman of the epic is no one but Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He became the principle catalyst of the liberation war and the valiant fighters had the guts to save their motherland keeping in minds the burning sensation of Bangabandhu which was delivered in the 7th March at racecourse. The national four leaders of the country escorted the war which led to independence. We are indebted to the vanguards behind Bangladesh.
March has come again in the Gregorian calendar. This March enkindled the citizens to refresh their patriotism. Hopes and aspiration is very high in 2011. Undone jobs are yet to be finished. The nation is very much united to feel the essence of true independence. Young pools are eagerly dreaming to see a digital Bangladesh. Education, research and IT sector need a proper reshape to fulfill their dream. The war criminal tribunal was an important part of the present government’s manifesto. We do not want to see the failure of the daughter of the father of our nation in this regard. In 2021 people of this country aspire to see a prosperous Bangladesh.
