This was clearly an act of state sponsored terrorism. Both the former DGs of DFI and NSI were involved along with Tarek, Babor and many others of the Jamaat-BNP nexus of terrorists. These discredited intelligence chiefs had close links with a section of the ISI that pursues the line of radical Islam by arming and nurturing the Taliban in Pakistan and Afghanistan fighting the NATO lead forces. Khaleda Zia's family is already entangled in the money laundering cases abroad. This shows how badly Tarek had damaged our image abroad. The successful execution of the August 21 grenade blast by the terrorists would have put Bangladesh at par with Somalia and Afghanistan. By the grace of Almighty Allah the evil design by the conspirators was foiled and it is today haunting Tarek and others who were behind this terrorist attack. Tarek should be brought back from London and interrogated by DFI, NSI and DB of Bangladesh Police. He knows everything and its one of the major reasons why he is living in exile. As far as I remember Tarek and Babor once flew to Washington, DC to explain something to the State Department that was never made public. Bangladesh has seen many brutal acts of mayhem. All these acts of brutality starting from August 15, 1975 to the February 25 BDR massacre must be unearthed at any cost and the actual murderers of such ghastly acts of terrorism must be hanged. They must not be allowed to go scott free. The AL government should pursue this case diligently as the wife of the sitting president of Bangladesh and many others lost their lives on that day.
