All power corrupts, and all people love to be corrupt and enjoy the benefits of corruption, if given the chance. It is obvious that our Nur Hossains are too innocent to see far ahead. The new generation of Nur Hossains welcomed the emergency government, only to discover eventually that it was no more trustworthy than even Khaleda's phenomenally corrupt government, and hence the prices of all essentials hit the roof in no time. Add to that MUA's bank accounts, Champa's hooliganism on her landlord, giving away a large chunk Suhrawardy Udyan to Dhaka Club, increasing the remuneration of advisers to nearly one lakh taka per month with no parliament to approve it, and other perks like the cost of keeping them in good health. You can now expect more and more businessmen getting out of prison, like Litu and Mintoo, by paying huge ransoms.

I would love to see a complete analysis of the past of the heir-apparent fixed by this government, Major (retired) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, to estimate what comes next.
