GUYS!!! PLEASE MAKE NO MISTAKE; DGFI IS A SMALL FLY IN THE WHOLE SOUP. THEY HAVE NO GUTS OR ANY SCOPE OF DOING THINGS ON THEIR OWN.

DGFI IS A CURSE; ALL DIRECTIVES FOR THEM COME FROM THE HQ; IT COULD BE AHQ OR PRIME MINISTERS HQ OR THE PRESIDENTIAL PALACE.

ZIA/ERSHAD/KHALEDA/HASINA/KHALEDA AND MOEEN EVERY ONE HAS USED DGFI OR USING DGFI. IT IS FORCE WITHIN THE FORCE.

THEY WILL BE USED AND MANY OF THEM THOSE MILITARY IDIOTS THINK THEY ARE THE MIGHTY FORCE AND THEY TAKE THINGS VERY PERSONALLY.

BANGLADESH IS A COUNTRY FULL OF FORGETFULL PEOPLE AND THEY TEND TO TURN BLIND EYES ON ISSUES WHICH ARE FULL OF CONTROVERSY.

ANY POLITICAL GOVT CAN ABOLISH DGFI BUT THEY ARE AFFRAID OF THE ARMY CHIEF AND THAT'S WHY THEY NEVER GO ON THIS GREY OF ANNOYING THE CHIEF.

I THINK DAY WILL COME WE SHALL SEE THE END OF THIS KIND OF ORGANISTIONS.

BNP, a party of the generals, born in the green house of the cantonment, nurtured by the generals, conspirators and cohorts, will always remain the most vital tool to keep control of army oligarchs over our democracy and politics. Failing in the plan to assassinate and dissect Awami League, Moeen U and his US patron have become desperado to revive and reinstate BNP in it's old role as villain of democracy.

As long as our public and our politicians will not have guts to ask trial of our generals (Zia, Mohabbatjan, Nurul Islam, Ershad, Mahmood, Rezakul Haider, ZI Khan, Masud, Moeen U etc.) for illegitimate meddling in to our national politics by undermining glorious legacy of our politics, infecting politics with corruption and historical distortion, till then democracy will always be treated as a leashed pet by this nexus of evil generals. As long as Maoists are visible in Nepal, CPM is ruling W. Bengal and a geriatric form of socialist decadence controls Burma, till then, this army along with Jamaat reaction will get unconditional support and protection from USA to cling to our politics like a leech.

A friend sent this email that I want to share:

<blockquote>
Democracy from the generals, to the generals and again from the generals. In 1975, one general benefited from the bloody change and assumed the responsibility to steer this nation into development and democracy and was met with a bloody fate and it was due to grievances and ambitions of other generals. In 1982, it was another general who stepped in to rescue the nation and this general had to be dragged down from power. In 1991 the widow of the first general became the elected leader of a democracy who had to be forced to make election fair. With a brief interlude from 1996 to 2001 but not without the support of generals the democracy again opted for the generals widow and this time the orphans of the general became part of ruling clique and got a little greedy. After 5 years of looting, plundering and misrule democracy was not working and it was time for the generals to step in again and now we all are waiting for the new phase of democracy again from the generals.

In addition to what Iconus Clustus has replied to Symonds, some facts presented by Symonds need a little correction also.

Delwar was not the acting secretary general but was and still is the secretary general of BNP. There is no provision of acting secretary general or acting chairperson in BNP's constitution. That some leaders would oppose Delwar's appointment is quite natural and happens in all parties. There were many opponents of Mannan Bhuiyan and Jalil in their parties.

Saifur declared his resignation from politics but was forced into this followoing a death/jail threat on his son, daughter and son-in-law. Police and army cordoned his house as means of coercion. The picture in Prothom Alo shows someone holding Saifur's hand to shake hands with Mannan Bhuiyan. That hand is reportedly a DGFI hand.

The dynamics of party politics in Bangladesh has so far dwelled half its age around the cantonment and DGFI has always been influential in such political acts. As such politics in Bangladesh is not evolving but sill revolving around the northern hemisphere.

So, the involvement of DGFI in yesterday's incident was regular/natural and not sensational at all. What was sensational was the overdoing by the agency which surpassed all previous atrocities.

We salute you Khandaker Delwar Hossain for standing up and rising up to the occasion. You have courageously shrugged off threats to your life and your family and refused to listen to the unlawful orders of the pharaoh Moeen and his gang. The country needs a brave leader like you.
