[Shahnawaz Alam, Sports Desk.] Heading into this game, Arsenal have no fresh injury concerns against Sunderland later today at the Emirates Stadium. The injury that does concern them is of Eduardo Da Silva (groin) who is side-lined possibly for a few weeks. Although Jens Lehmann (elbow), captain William Gallas (groin), Tomas Rosicky (hamstring) and Alex Song (calf) are all stepping up their rehabilitation and could soon return to contention.

Abou Diaby and veteran midfielder Gilberto are pressing for a recall to the starting XI – along with Theo Walcott, who again was the bench-warmer for The Gunners during the Champions League win over Steaua Bucharest in Romania.

Sunderland midfielder Dickson Etuhu is back in contention after serving a one-match ban, missing the 2-1 home defeat by Blackburn after reaching five bookings for the season. Former Gunner Andy Cole’s calf injury means he will have to wait to make his senior Sunderland debut, while Russell Anderson (ankle), Kieran Richardson (back), Carlos Edwards (hamstring) and Dean Whitehead and Stanislav Varga (both knee) are still out.
